सध्याचे जग व आपण

पेपरात येणार्‍या बातम्यांमधून असे दिसते की सध्या जगात तीन महासत्ता आहेत.

1. अमेरिका  2. युरोपमधील राष्ट्रांचा गट  3. रशिया व चीन

यांच्यामध्ये सध्यातरी युध्दासारखी परिस्थिती आहे. जगातील अब्जावधी लोकांवर या महासत्ता राज्य करत आहेत.

एवढ्या मोठ्ठ्या संख्येने या पृथ्वीवर असलेले लोक हे अनेक स्तरांवर विभागले गेले आहेत. उदाहरणार्थ राष्ट्र, प्रांत, भाषा, धर्म, स्त्री/पुरूष, श्रीमंत/गरीब, चालीरिती इत्यादी. त्यामुळे माणूस म्हणून आपण या जगात रहात असलो तरी वरील घटक कमीजास्त प्रमाणात सुखाने जगण्यात अडथळा आणतात. थोडा खोलवर विचार केला तर असे लक्षात येईल की या सर्व घटकांमध्ये सध्यातरी पैसा हा घटक महत्वाचा आहे. तसे बघितले तर पैसा हे मानवी व्यवहाराचे साधन 4-5 हजार वर्षांपासून अस्तित्वात आहे. राष्ट्रराष्ट्रात युध्दे, माणसामाणसात भांडणे ही पण होतच ती. पण सध्यासारखे सर्व जगातील लोकांचे जीवन पूर्वी असुरक्षित नव्हते. आता जागतिकीकरणामुळे सर्व जगच एक कुटुंब झाल्यासारखे झाले आहे. त्यामुळे अमेरिका/ यूरोपमधील घटनांचे परिणाम येथे खेड्यांपर्यंत पोहोचतात. या विषयामध्ये खोलवर न जाता यातून मार्ग कसा काढावयाचा याबद्दल आपण पुढील सत्रात चर्चेला सुरवात कर

Present world and our life

From the newspaper reports it seems that there are three superpowers in the world today.

1. America         2. Group of European Nations      3. Russia and China

At present there is war like situation amongst them. Billions of people are being ruled by these superpowers. People everywhere are divided on various counts. For Eg. nation, state, language, religion, caste, male/female, rich/poor, social customs etc. Although we are all human, the above factors create problems to live as human being. If we analyse it further it appears that money has become the most vital factor for life and living. Money in turn ignites fights in human society. Money as a vehicle for transaction has been there for 4-5 thousand years. Disagreements, fights used to be there earlier also. Today its magnitude is such that uncertainty has become a reality of life. Globalization has led to human society as one family with its advantages and disadvantages. The consequences of untoward incidences are seen even at village level. We need not enter into this controversial subject. Let us try to find out the way to handle the situation. We will start thinking on it in subsequent sessions.
