रोगोपचार व खर्च
सामान्य माणसाला यातून मार्ग काढावयाचा झाला तर रोग म्हणजे काय व त्यावरील उपचारपध्दती याची थोडीफार माहिती असणे आवश्यक आहे. त्यासंबंधी आपण जाणून घेऊया.
रोग कधी व कसा निमाण होतो ?
एक लक्षात ठेवण्यासारखी गोष्ट म्हणजे आपल्या शरीरात वेगवेगळ्या कार्यांसाठी वेगवेगळे अवयव व संस्था असतात. उदाहरणार्थ, अन्न पचनासाठी पचन संस्था असते, रक्त सगळ्या अवयवांना पुरविण्यासाठी र्‍हदय व रक्तवाहिन्या असतात. त्याचप्रमाणे रोग झाल्यावर त्याचा प्रतिकार करणारी यंत्रणासुध्दा आपल्या शरीरात असते. ही यंत्रणा रोगाला मारक अशी रासायनिक द्रव्ये तयार करून रोगांचा सामना करते.
आता रोग कसा होतो ते बघूया –
जंतूंमुळे होणारे रोग – जसे मलेरिआ, टायफॉईड, कावीळ हे आपणाला माहीती आहेत. या वेगवेगळ्या रोगांचे जंतू श्र्वासनलिका, अन्ननलिका अशा मार्गातून शरीरात प्रवेश करतात. त्यानंतर हे जंतू शरीरकार्याला घातक अशी रसायने रक्तात सोडतात. त्यामुळे रोगाशी मुकाबला करणारी शरीरातील यंत्रणा म्हणजेच प्रतिकारशक्ती कोलमडून पडते व रोग होतो.
डायाबेटीस, ब्लड प्रेशर, कॅन्सर अशा प्रकारच्या रोगांमध्ये काय होते ते बघूया. या रोगांमध्ये शरीरकार्याला अडथळे आणणार्‍या अनेक रासायनिक घटना होतात. त्यांची थोडीफार माहिती वैद्यकीय क्षेत्रातील तज्ञांना व संशोधकांना असली तरी हे रोग का व कसे निर्माण होतात हे सांगणे कठीण असते.
उपाययोजना –
अलोपॅथिच्या उपाययोजनेत औषधांमार्फत असे रोग काबूत आणण्याचा प्रयत्न केला जातो. परंतू शरीरातील प्रतिकारशक्तीमध्ये त्यामुळे फारसे बदल होत नाहीत. तसेच ते रोग क्वचितच पूर्णपणे बरे होतात. शस्त्रक्रियेमध्ये अलोपॅथिची प्रगती मोठ्ठ्या प्रमाणात झाली आहे. त्यामुळे शस्त्रक्रियेने बरे होणार्‍या किंवा नियंत्रणात येणार्‍या रोगांमध्ये अलोपॅथिचा वापर अनिवार्य असतो.

Medical Expenses
Besides education, problem of financial Stability, marriage, etc. young generation and their family members need to think of medical expenses. Medical Profession also has become commercial like other professions. In newspapers we read almost daily something related to it, like ordering unnecessary tests, side effects of the drugs, hospitals bills, etc. By and large Allopathy is used widely. Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic physicians also use Allopathic drugs along with Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic drugs.
Everyone needs to be conversant with what each pathy can do and can not do. Let us try to understand lit in brief.
How and why Disease occurs ?
We eat food and drink water for which digestive system is there. heart and blood vessels are there so that the blood can reach from head to feet. Similarly there are a number of other systems like kidney, lungs etc. performing different functions. We also have a defence system which gets activated when any disturbance occurs in normal physiological functioning of our body. It produces biomolecules to fight with disease. Ultimately our body can be looked upon as a chemical factory.
How the disease is produced?
We are familiar with diseases occurring due to germs like Malaria, Typhoid etc. These germs produce toxic substances detrimental to functioning of cells and the symptoms of disease are observed.
What happens in diseases like Diabetes, Cancer, Blood Pressure etc.? These diseases also produce biomolecules not conducive to functioning of cells. Very little is known about the integrative functioning of such molecules.
Treatment:
In Allopathy, medicines are used to eradicate the disease. However, these drugs do not alter the basic defects in defence system. Allopathy has made tremendous progress in surgical disorders and one has to make judicious use of it in the treatment of patient.
In Homoeopathy, research oriented practice, based on scientific foundation do alter a cost effective alternative approach to treat disease.
Ayurveda also put stress on enhancing immunity. Ayurveda was originated 2000 years ago. To understand the concepts in Ayurveda in tune with medical advances is a difficult preposition.
