संदर्भ : तरूणांसाठी इकिगाई

प्रस्तावना – इकगाई हे जपानी लोकांचे एक जीवन विषयक तत्वज्ञान आहे. ते आपल्याला उपयोगी व आपल्याकडील तत्वज्ञानाशी मिळतेजुळते असल्यामुळे या दोन सत्रांमध्ये त्याबद्दल विचार करुया. मुख्यत्वे तरूणांसाठी असले तरी 20 वर्षांवरील कुठल्याही व्यक्तीला ते उपयोगी पडणारे आहे.

सध्याची परिस्थिती व आपणापुढील प्रश्र्न
सध्याच्या वेगवान आयुष्यात आपण गोंधळलेलेच आहोत. तरूणांच्या पुढे प्रश्र्न आहेत, मी नेमके काय करू? जोडीदार कसा शोधू? अशा अनेक प्रश्र्नांबद्दल आपण अगोदरच्या सत्रांत विचार केलेला आहे.
आता आपण एका प्रवासाला सुरवात करणार आहोत. समजा तुम्ही अशा ठिकाणी येऊन पोचलात की तुम्हाला तेथे 4 रस्ते दिसत आहेत.
पहिल्या रस्त्यावर फलक आहे “ पैसा ” –
हा फलक बघून तुम्ही अर्थात हाच मार्ग प्रथम निवडाल. पण त्यामध्ये धोका आहे. तुम्हाला या मार्गाने जाऊन अमाप पैसा मिळाला तरी आनंद व समाधान मिळणार नाही. तुमच्या भोवती नातलग व लोकांचा गराडा पडेल, पण प्रेम मिळणार नाही.
तुम्ही म्हणाल, पैसा तर लागतोच ना? अमाप पैसा या फारच दूरच्या गोष्टी झाल्या! हो खरेच आहे ते. धोका असा आहे की वाटेल त्या मार्गाने पैसा मिळविण्याचे व्यसन लागते. त्यामुळे घरी, मित्रमैत्रिणींत आनंदाने गप्पा मारायला, सुखाने जगायला वेळच नसतो.
दुसर्‍या फलकावर लिहीले आहे “ प्रसिध्दी ” –
काही जणांना प्रसिध्दीची हाव असते. पैशाप्रमाणे प्रसिध्दीचीही काही वेळा जरूरी असते. उदहरणार्थ, तुम्ही कारखानदार आहात. तर तुमच्या मालाची जाहिरात – प्रसिध्दी लागेलच ना? समजा तुम्ही चांगले गाणारे आहात. तर लोकांपर्यंत पोहोचायला तुम्हाला प्रसिध्दी लागतेच ना? काही अंशी हे खरे असले तरी प्रसिध्दीची हाव घातकच असते. अशी अनेक उदाहरणे देता येतील की अशा व्यक्ती आयुष्यात एकाकी राहतात. स्पर्धेमध्ये कमी पडले तर येणारे नैराश्यही तेवढेच भीतीदायक असते.
तिसर्‍या फलकावर लिहिले आहे “ शक्ती ” –
तुम्ही कुठल्याही अधिकार पदावर असलात तर मिळणारा आनंद हा वेगळाच असतो. कारखान्याचा मालक, राज्यकाभार करणारे सत्ताधारी किंवा असेच कुठल्या क्षेत्रात अधिकारी असाल तर माणुसकी विसरून आपल्या अधिकाराचा दुरुपयोग करण्याची शक्यता जास्त असते. त्यामुळे लोकांचे प्रेम तर तुम्हाला मिळत नाहीच, तर द्वेष असणारे किंवा तुम्हाला घाबरणारेच लोक तुमच्या भोवती असतात.
चौथ्या फलकावर लिहीले आहे “ ईकिगाई ” –
त्याबद्दल आता विचार करूया.
इकिगाई याचा अर्थ — इकि म्हणजे जीवन आणि गाई म्हणजे सार्थक. येथे सार्थक म्हणजे जीवनाचा उद्देश किंवा ज्यामुळे तुम्हाला जीवनात आनंद व समाधान मिळते.
त्यासाठी काय करा की शांतपणे बसून काय करावयाचे ते ठरवा. तुम्हाला वेगवेगळे मार्ग सुचतील.
- खेड्यातील तरुणांना वाटेल नोकरी मिळाली तर नियमित पैसा तरी मिळेल. असा विचार करून तुम्ही त्याच्या शोधात जाल. जरूर जा. परंतू पुढे कदाचित असे लक्षात येईल की, एवढी स्पर्धा आहे की आपल्याला नोकरी काही मिळणार नाही. निराश होऊ नका. दुसरे मार्ग शोधा.
- येथेच गावी राहून काहीतरी करून कमाई करुया असेही मनात येईल. त्यासाठी शेती करायला गेलात तर कंपन्यांच्या जाहिराती, ऑनलाईन व्यवहार यामध्ये फसवणूक होऊ शकेल. घाबरू नका. चुका करूनच माणूस शिकतो.
- परत शांतपणे बसून विचार करा. तुम्हला काय काम चांगले येते? कुठले काम आवडते, शिकवायला आवडते? पदार्थ बनवायला आवडतात? घरकाम चांगले येते? आजार्‍याची सेवा करायला चांगले जमते? वाहन चालविणे चांगले येते? गवंडी काम, सुतार काम, माणसे जमवायला चांगले जमते? इतर लोक काय करतात ते बघा. त्यांच्याशी चर्चा करा.
पण शेवटी पुढे काय ? हे राहतेच.

Ekigai

Introduction- Ekigai is the philosophy of Japanese people’s life. It is useful and quite similar to our philosophy, so let’s think over it in this and January session. It is mainly for young generation but it can be useful for any person above age 20 years.
Part – 1
Current situation and problems in front of us
Now a days in our life we all are in chaotic situation. Young generations have many questions in their mind such as, what should I do? How to earn money? We have already discussed such questions in our previous session.
Now we are going to start a journey. Suppose you have reached at a place where you see 4 roads.
The first road contains a board named ‘Money’. –
After looking at this board obviously you will choose this road first, but it is risky. This road will give a lot of money but not the happiness and satisfaction. There will be many people and relatives around you but you will not get love. You will say that, ‘but money is required’. More money is a very far thing. Yes, it is true. The risk in this is, earning money by any way becomes addiction and because of it we are unable to give time to our relatives and friends.
The second road contains a board named ‘Fame’. –
Some people have a greed of fame (greedy for fame). Sometimes fame is also needed like money. For example: If you are businessman then you have to advertise and publish your products, suppose if you are a singer, you need publicity to reach the audience. Though to some extent it is true the greed of fame is fatal. Many examples can be given, that such people become alone in their life. Despairingness due to failure in the competition is also dangerous.
The third road contains a board named ‘Power’. –
Happiness that you get from your higher position in the job is really different one. If the person is owner of a company or a politician or an officer in any department, such person may use his rights leaving humanity. Due to which such person does not get love and he is surrounded by scary people only.
The fourth road contains a board named ‘Ekigai’. –
Now let’s think about ‘Ekigai’. The meaning of Ekigai is, eki means life and gai means fulfilment. Fulfilment means aim of life or the thing from which you get happiness and satisfaction in your life.
To attempt this, you may get different paths;
- Village youth may think that if we do a job, we will get money regularly and they may start searching a job. Do it, but after some time you will come to know that you are not getting job due to a lot of competition everywhere. But don’t get despair, try to find other paths.
- Then you will think that, I should do something here in the village to earn money. If you choose agriculture, there you may face fraud in the advertisement of many big companies and in online deals. Don’t get scared. We learn from our mistakes only.
- Again, sit quietly and think. What can you do best? Which work do you like? Do you like teaching? Do you like cooking? Can you repair machines? Can you do household work properly? Can you look after sick person properly? Can you drive properly? Can you do mason work or carpenter work? Do you have ability to gather people? See that, what people around you are doing? Discuss with them.
What next? We will think over it in the session of January 2023.
